Suggested Degree Plan

The following suggested degree plan with an emphasis in Business prepares students for transfer to colleges and universities that offer bachelor degrees in various areas of business. Students interested in careers in business that are planning to major in accounting, business administration, finance, international business, management, or marketing should follow this curriculum. Coursework in accounting and economics will provide the foundation for specialized business study later in a BBA degree.

Advising Notes


1SFA and UT Tyler require Life & Physical Science from the following: BIOL 1406 BIOL 1407 BIOL 1408 BIOL 1409 BIOL 2401 CHEM 1405 CHEM 1411 CHEM 1412 GEOL 1403 GEOL 1404 PHYS 1401 PHYS 1402 PHYS 2425 , or PHYS 2426 .

2The Field of Study requires completion of BUSI 2305 . Check university requirements to determine if a particular math course is preferred. Students transferring to SFA or UT Tyler should take MATH 1342  at Panola College to fulfill the BUSI 2305  requirement.

3SFA and UT Tyler require Creative Arts from the following: ARTS 1301 DRAM 1310 DRAM 2366 , or MUSI 1306 .

4Students transferring to SFA should take ENGL 2311  to fulfill the BUSI 2304  requirement. Students transferring to UT Tyler should take BCIS 1305 .

5SFA and UT Tyler require Language, Philosophy, & Culture from the following: ENGL 2322 ENGL 2323 , or PHIL 1301 .
